Webstore FAQ
Interested in a webstore? We have you covered. Check out the FAQs listed below to find out more details.
Are there any setup costs?
Depending on your needs and our guideline, we offer two options for webstores.
Standard Option: We charge a $75 fee to create the store. You do have the ability to mark up items for visitors to purchase retail pricing. Any markup on the site above our cost is profit for you.
Fundraising Option*: There is no upfront fee, but we do keep the first $75 of the fundraising amount to cover our expenses for building the webstore. If there is less than $75 raised, you would be responsible for paying that balance.
*Fundraising Option is only available for schools and non-profit organizations.
How is the price of items determined?
Because of the uncertainty of exactly how many units will be sold, the pricing for products on the webstore will be inflated. Products will cost more than our standard pricing and will be based on the projected number of units sold. To get the projected number of units sold, we need to know the size of the audience that the webstore would be applicable for and how you will spread the word to drive traffic to the webstore.
What is an ordering period?
An ordering period is how long the webstore is open for items to be purchased. The most common length of time is 2 weeks; we feel this gives the audience the proper amount of time to visit the site and make a purchase. However, we can do a longer ordering period if you believe you will need more time to market the store or motivate people to make a purchase.
Once the ordering period is closed, we will enter into the production phase. We do not do on-demand fulfillment. Meaning, we do not produce each order when it is received. Rather, we collect orders during the ordering period and go into bulk production. This allows us to have a lower cost on the items.
How long does it take to fulfill the orders?
Once the store is closed, the production process will begin. This process takes 10-15 business days, as we order the blank goods from our vendors and begin preproduction work.
How are orders received by the customers?
Pick Up // Once the orders are completed (printed and separated by individual orders), a point of contact for the webstore can pick up the individual order and distribute them however they would like. This is our most used option.
Shipping // We can offer shipping via USPS. However, customers will be responsible for paying a shipping fee.
What items can I list in the webstore?
We can offer an array of items that include short and long sleeve tees, hoodies, polos, and hats. We highly recommend listing no more than 10 total items on the webstore. Sometimes providing visitors too many options can be overwhelming or create too many questions that lead to them not purchasing. By having a consistent logo on all items and a limited choice of garments, you are more likely to have a successful store.
Are there any minimums you require?
Yes, we require the minimum number of units listed below to be purchased based on how many ink colors and printing locations are in your design. You can have the same design across multiple styles, ie. T-shirts, long-sleeve tees, hoodies, etc. As long as we are using the same design with the same setup, these items can be combined to make the total number of units.
Example: Webstore X sells 26 t-shirts, 14 long-sleeve tees, and 10 hoodies that all get the same logo in the same location. The total number of units for this webstore is 50 units.
If the minimum number of units is not achieved, all orders received will be refunded and will not be produced.
