Flex Hours Position
The Role
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in the details and keeps things moving. This is a flexible, cross-functional role that supports multiple areas of the shop depending on what the day calls for. While quality assurance is the core responsibility, you’ll also jump in to support fulfillment and production to keep everything running smoothly.
Entry-Level Position
This role is designed as an entry point into our production team. It focuses on building strong fundamentals and understanding how the shop operates end-to-end. Pay reflects an entry-level position, with clear opportunities for growth as skills and experience develop.
What You’ll Do (QA + Shop Support)
Quality Control & Order Accuracy
Inspect garments out of the dryer for print quality
Catch and pull defects (coverage, registration, scorching, etc.)
Communicate issues to press operators in real time
Count and verify pieces by size and style
Match quantities to work orders and track overruns/shortages
Folding, Sorting & Packing
Fold and package garments to shop standards (once cooled and cured)
Keep orders labeled, separated, and organized
Bag, box, or bundle orders based on requirements
Prep orders for pickup, delivery, or shipping
Assist with shipping and receiving, including organizing incoming and outgoing orders
Workflow, Communication & Maintenance
Note any issues, shortages, or reprints
Jump in where needed across production and fulfillment to keep the workflow moving
Assist with heat-applied production (applying digital graphics to garments)
What This Role Is / What It Isn’t
What It Is
A flexible, cross-functional role that supports multiple areas of the shop
The final quality checkpoint before orders go out the door
A hands-on, detail-focused production role
Fast-paced, repetitive work that requires consistency
A key part of keeping the shop organized and running smoothly
What It Isn’t
A design or creative role
A sit-down or slow-paced position
A role where “close enough” is good enough
A fixed, single-lane position—you’ll move where the work is
What We’re Looking For
Detail-oriented. You notice the small stuff before it becomes a problem
Reliable and consistent. You show up and do it right every time
Adaptable. You’re comfortable jumping between tasks and priorities
Organized. You can manage multiple orders without losing track
Team-first mindset. You communicate and keep things moving
Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced environment
Hours & Schedule
Hours for this role flex with our production schedule. During busy seasons, you can expect up to ~35 hours per week, while slower periods may drop closer to ~10 hours. We do our best to communicate schedules in advance as volume shifts.
Why This Role Matters
This is the last stop before our product hits a customer’s hands. If something gets missed here, it gets felt out there. You’re the quality checkpoint, but also a key piece in keeping the entire shop running efficiently day to day.
Why Parkway
We’re a local shop that’s big on quality, creativity, and community. Most of what we make ends up in restaurants, breweries, and spots around town, so you’ll see your work out there pretty quickly. We keep things laid back, but we care about doing things right and holding a high standard. If you like staying busy, being part of a team, and taking pride in the details, you’ll feel at home here.
In most instances, we have a 2-phase approach to interviewing and hiring a candidate. The first interview is usually fairly short, maybe 15 minutes. This gives both us and the candidate to get a first impression and see if we might be a good fit for each other.
The second interview is a little bit more in-depth. For production roles, candidates will spend some time exploring the department they are being considered for. Front-of-the-house candidates are typically given a project to showcase abilities within the position.
In any case, hiring good humans is our main priority.
2 interviews to make sure we get it right.
